In July 2024, the Joint Government of Mongolia signed the "Courage for Rapid Development" policy agreement to address the nation’s development challenges and ensure long-term political stability. This agreement serves as the foundation for the Government's action program (2024-2028), which prioritizes:

Human development
Economic policy
Governance that esteems human rights
As part of the regional development strategy, the Government is committed to implementing the "Ulaanbaatar City - 20-Minute City" policy. This includes key initiatives such as:
Urban Development and Governance Reform
Energy Infrastructure Expansion
Ger Area Redevelopment and Housing
Expansion of Diversified Public Transport and Road Networks
The 20-Minute City National Committee (NC) was established in July 2024 to drive city decentralization, improve access to social services, reduce traffic congestion, and address air pollution. The NC works collaboratively with a range of organizations to provide policy support and coordinate development efforts across Ulaanbaatar. The NC also manages key projects in partnership with the Municipality of Ulaanbaatar, the Ministry of Roads and Transport, and other government entities.
